The 8 Days Murchison Falls, Kibale and Semliki safari is an adventurous and amazing safari which takes you to Murchison Falls National Park, which is the largest national park; Kibale National Park, where you will have an encounter with the chimpanzees within their natural habitat; and lastly Semliki National Park, where you will visit the Sempaya hot springs and also have a boat cruise.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer To A Hotel In Kampala
Depending on the time of your arrival at the international airport, the safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will be transferred to a hotel in Kampala for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino trekking experience. After the trek, you will have lunch and proceed with the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will directly proceed to the top of the falls, where you will view the waterfalls, beautiful scenery and bird species, among others. After the top of the falls, you will head to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive And Afternoon Boat Cruise
After having breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive within the park. While on a game drive, you will view animals such as giraffes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, lions and bird species, among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise where you will drive to the Paraa landing site for an amazing boat cruise experience at the bottom of the falls. The cruise takes 2 hours, where you will spot hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, elephants, warthogs and buffaloes along the water banks, and bird species such as kingfishers, fish eagles, and cormorants, among others. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer To Kibale National Park
After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kibale National Park. The journey takes the whole day with stopovers to stretch your legs. On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking And Bigodi Swamp Walk
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a habituated chimpanzee family to trek. The trek takes 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees as they move in search of food. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them carry out their daily activities, taking photos and recording moments. After the chimpanzee trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an amazing nature walk in Bigodi Sanctuary, where you will spot primate species such as grey-cheeked mangabeys, baboons, vervet monkeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys, bird species such as the great blue turaco and different plant species. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: A Visit To The Crater Lakes And Transfer To Semliki National Park
After having breakfast, you will go to visit the crater lakes next to Kibale National Park. On arrival, you will hike to the crater lakes, where you will have amazing views of Mount Rwenzori, Lake George, and the Kichwamba escarpments, among others. After the crater lakes, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Semliki National Park, which is found in Bundibugyo District on the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The journey takes 4 to 5 hours, and on arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Nature Walk To Sempaya Hot Springs And Boat Cruise
After breakfast, you head to an exciting nature walk to the Sempaya hot springs. While on the hike, you will spot primates, birds and colourful butterflies, among others. The hot spring is divided into two: the male and the female spring. On arrival at the hot spring, you will be able to boil eggs, cook matooke in hot water, and see local women go to offer sacrifices and prayers to appease the ancestors, among others. After the hot spring visit, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise which is done on the Semliki River up to Lake Albert. During the boat cruise. The cruise takes 2 hours, and you will see animals such as hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, elephants, warthogs, and buffaloes taking water along the shores, and water birds such as kingfishers, fish eagles, bee-eaters, and the rare shoebill, among others. After the boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Transfer Back To Kampala
After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. You will have lunch en route, and on arrival, you will be dropped off at the international airport for your flight back home or any place of your choice.
