The primary focus is wildlife viewing, with some birding and Uganda safari begins as you arrive in Entebbe, where our skilled guides will greet and transfer you to Gulu. You will have an opportunity to visit the Zziwa rhino sanctuary en route. The next day, you will enjoy the journey to Kidepo valley national park, kidepo valley and hot springs while spotting wildlife. Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and pick up fro, Entebbe Airport, transfer to Gulu
Your Uganda wildlife safari begins as the driver comes to you and picks you up from the airport at Entebbe airport. After a small brief overview of your tour, you will start your journey to Gulu in northern Uganda. While on your way, you will be able to jave stopover in Luwero market for refreshment and buying of fruits then continue to the Masindi town were you will have your lunch from then drive straight for Rhino tracking at Ziwa sanctuary This scenic drive offers optional activities, including a visit at ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Masindi district. After rhino tracking, you will drive straight to the park en- route before arriving in Gulu in the evening. Refreshment, then proceed to kidepo valley national park
Day 2: Gulu to kidepo valley national park
On your second day, you will have an early morning breakfast, before the 3-4 hours’ drive to kidepo valley national park. The journey traditional thatched houses and scenic hills, separating Acholi and Karamonja lands. After crossing seasonal rivers, you will reach kidepo valley national park for lunch and an evening game drive in the Narus valley. During the game drive, different animal species will be spotted like elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, zebras, cheetah, caracal and also bird species which include; Ostriches, bee-eater and falcons. After the game drive your guide will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overstay.
Day 3: Game drive in Narus valley
You will wake to an amazing breakfast before heading out for a game drive in the Narus valley. This Uganda safari highlight is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffe, antelopes, buffaloes, zebras and numerous bird species. The valley’s permanent water source, Narus River, attracts various mammals, bird species which include; Ostriches, bee-eater and falcons after game drive you will drive back for dinner and overstay.
Day 4: Game drive in Narus valley $ hot spring in kidepo valley
After breakfast, return to Narus valley for another game drive, kidepo’s excellent observation points makes for rewarding wildlife viewing which may also include; elephants, giraffes, zebra, cheetah amongst others. After lunch and relaxation at the lodge, drive to kidepo valley near the south Sudan border to visit hot spring. Keep an eye out for ostriches in the area. After beautiful time in the game park you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Hot spring in kidepo valley
Afternoon of 8th day, you will ,meet up with the guide again after your lunch, have a drive to the Kanangorok hot springs which are the second largest after semiliki hot springs in semiliki national park. Kanongorok hot springs, its well known to be a habitat for bird species, visitor opt to visit it during dry season in the month of June to September because of the bad roads in kidepo valley national park. It’s said that these hot springs boils at 50 degrees Celsius. After the visit you will return to the park lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Murchison falls national park
Depart from kidepo valley national park after breakfast and head to Murchison falls national park. Enter the park with an en-route game drive in the northern gate. Visit the top of the falls before proceeding to your lodge for an evening at leisure. After, you check-in your room for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Game drive $ launch cruise
Start your day with breakfast before taking the ferry to Para for a game drive. This Uganda tour highlight offers opportunity to spot the big five animals include, buffalos, elephants, lion, hippos and elusive leopard, Jackson’s hartebeest, elands, impalas among others
Boat cruise
After lunch, you will meet up with your guide again who will drive to the river Nile shores for afternoon boat cruise, sailing to the top of the falls which normally takes about 5-6 hours according to the water movements. During boat cruise different species can be spotted which may include; crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kob. Various bird species can also be seen like; pelican, kingfisher, heron, shoebills, yellow-billed stork, Squacco hero, saddle-billed stork Option to hike to the top of the falls which gives the best view of the water flowing, and the unforgettable experience, water droplets from the falls gives the best memories ever. After you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Return to Kampala
On final day of your Uganda safari have breakfast before transferring back to Entebbe, with lunch en route. You may opt to stop at ziwa rhino sanctuary if missed on day one. Arrive at Entebbe airport in the afternoon for your departure flight.
