Detailed itinerary
Day 1: pick up and transfer to Murchison falls national park
KAPO tours will provide / send the representative to come and pick the clients from Entebbe international airport, he or she will introduce himself or herself and small brief about the 4 days Murchison falls safari, after you will start your journey of about 5-6 hour drive on Gulu- highway via Masindi town.
Clients will have stopover in luwero for refreshment and some bits continue to Masindi town for lunch, after lunch they will proceed to the national park and have access to the park, drive to top of falls with have the best memories through taking photos for about 2 hours, later the guide will drive you to your respective lodges for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
On your 2nd days of 4days Murchison falls safari, you will wake up early have your breakfast at the lodge, as soon as you finish, the guide will come and pick you drive you to the park as you spot different animals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, Jackson’s hartbeast,giraffes, Uganda kobs after that, you will drive back to lodge for lunch as relaxation as you wait for evening boat cruise
After, lunch the guide will pick you again and drop you at the Victoria nile to have the best experience of Victoria waters fallowing, during that you will spot the Nile crocodiles, hippos, buffoloes, do some bird watching during the boat cruising after that drive back to the lodge for dinner and overstay.
Day 3: chimpanzee tracking in budongo
Have your morning early breakfast and drive to head offices where you will be briefed on how the tracking is done. After the briefing, they will divide the groups with the number of about 6 people per group. You’re advised to carry at least a bottle of water since tracking seems to be hectic to some tourists. After trancing the chimps, your given 1hour extra to be with them study them about their behaviors, how they live and want makes them to be the closest cousins of a person.
During chimpanzee tracking will be able to spot some birds in Budongo forest. After you will go back to your lodge where you will be served lunch from have time to relax and prepare for another day.
Day 4: departure via Zziwa for rhino tracking
After cup of tea at your lodge, check out of your lodge and get ready to travel back to Kampala. You will have to branch off in Nakitoma in nakasongola for a visit to Zziwa rhino sanctuary. Here you will spend about two hours’ drive before you continue your journey to Kampala, during the time at Zziwa sanctuary you will have time to see the white rhinos, after tracking, you will set off to Kampala, and the driver will drop you at the airport.
