Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Our safari guide from Chopper Tour and Travel will pick you up from the hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport and will brief you about your safari. Then, you will begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will have stopovers, like at market centres, where you will buy fresh fruits like mangoes, yellow bananas, oranges, and many others.
You will later proceed with your journey, make another stopover where you will have your lunch while enjoying the stunning views of Masindi, and after lunch, you will head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This is where you will do an exciting rhino tracking experience and get the chance to spot the numerous rhinos while grazing close to you. After rhino tracking, you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, and upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge in the park, then check in for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
Morning game drive.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast; after breakfast, you will meet with your guide and then transfer to the park for the amazing experience of spotting the park’s great animal species, which includes lions, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, cheetahs, elephants, and many others. The morning game drive takes about 3 hours to 4 hours to the best game tracks that offer you everlasting Uganda safari memories. After the game drive, you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch.
Boat cruise.
After lunch, you will meet your guide and then transfer to the falls for the afternoon boat cruise. This is amazing; cruising on the bottom of Murchison Falls provides the best spotting view for the diverse numbers of hippopotamuses, elephants, and buffaloes and Uganda kobs on the banks of Murchison Falls and the number of bird species, like the famous shoebill storks, African fish eagles, and herons, among many others. After the boat cruise, you will be returned to the lodge for your relaxing dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest.
You will wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Budongo Forest for the chimpanzee trekking safari experience. This is where you will be transferred to the headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to consider during chimpanzee trekking at the offices of the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
After the briefing, you will be transferred to the forest while accompanied by the skilled and experienced park rangers and park guides in different groups. Uganda chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest takes a period of about 30 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees because these creatures like moving in various parts of the forest looking for food, shelter, and others.
Along the way, looking for the chimpanzees, you will be attracted by the unique sightings of the animal species, bird species, plant species, and many others. And once you spot the chimpanzees, you will be given a period of one hour to be in the presence of the chimpanzees while watching the chimpanzees feeding, playing, taking pictures, and recording the memories to show people back home after the safari.
After one hour, you will trek back to the starting point, where you will find your driver-guide waiting for you. You will be served with lunch, and after lunch, you will remain at your lodge while relaxing and spotting various wildlife across, and later you will be served with dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Departure.
Wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and then meet your guide and embark on your journey. As you exit the park, you will have an amazing en route morning game drive to spot the early risers in the park, like elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, and many others, not to mention spotting the various species of birds and many others.
You will proceed with your journey, and along the way to Kampala, either in Luweero or Masindi, you will have a stopover for lunch. After lunch, you will embark on your journey until you arrive in Kampala, and you will advise your safari guide on whether he should drop you off—that is, either at Entebbe International Airport for the flight back home or at your hotel in Kampala.
