This is a 4 Days Murchison Falls, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth Safaris adventure to Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park that will expose you to the various ecosystems in these three parks. You will have the opportunity to take part in numerous activities like the game drives, boat cruises and a chimpanzee trek.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala  to Murchison Falls National Park

A Chopper Tour and Travel representative driver guide will pick you up from a hotel in Kampala. You will first be briefed about this Uganda safari, and then you embark on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive north takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will engage in a rhino tracking experience. After the trek, you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will stop at a hotel in Masindi town for lunch. After having lunch, you will proceed to the park. Upon arrival, you will hike to the Top of the Falls. You will have views of water splashing, and this is quite a rewarding experience.

After the hike to the top of the falls, you will head to a lodge of your choice within the park and check in. You will be served dinner after settling in. Later, you will retire to bed.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Nile Boat Safari  and Transfer to Kibale National Park

You rise before dawn for a morning game drive. The morning game drive will take place after briefing you at the park headquarters. You will then start the game drive in the company of a guide. The game drive will take 3 to 4 hours. You will have a glimpse at animals like lions, giraffes, hartebeests, elephants and many more.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation, you prepare for a boat cruise along the Nile toward the base of the falls. Before setting off for the boat cruise in the afternoon, you will first have lunch at the lodge.

After lunch, you will head to the bottom of the falls for the boat cruise of about 2 hours. You will have views of water animals and birds. You will spot animals like the hippos, Nile crocodiles and several birds like the African fish eagles.

After the boat cruise, you begin your journey southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park. The drive takes about 6 to 7 hours. You will arrive in the evening, and you will check into a lodge, freshen up, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking  and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. The park wardens will explain chimpanzee tracking rules and safety guidelines before leading you into the lush tropical forest. The trek will last from about 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ location. When you finally spot them, you will stay with them in their natural habitat for one hour. You will watch them feed, play, interact and much more.

After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take about 2 to 3 hours. Upon arrival, you will check into a lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning game drive, Kazinga Channel boat cruise and Return to Kampala

Your final day of the safari will start with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. While on this game drive, you are most likely to spot lions, buffalo, elephants and many more. After the morning game drive, you will be returned to the lodge for breakfast. Later in the morning, you will embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George.

This cruise offers some of the best wildlife viewing experiences. You will have views of animals like the hippos, crocodiles and water birds such as the pelicans and kingfishers. After the boat cruise, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you begin your return journey to Kampala of approximately 6 to 7 hours. Along the way, you may stop at the Equator line for photos. By evening, you will have arrived back at your hotel in Kampala, bringing an end to the 4 Days Murchison Falls, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth Safaris.
