After Sir Samuel Baker, the 19th-century British explorer who, with his wife Florence, mapped the upper reaches of the Nile in 1864 and was the first to document the thundering Murchison Falls. The lodge is named in his honour for that journey of discovery in this stunning terrain. Established about 2015, it focuses on environmentally friendly design with solar power.
