Dining at Ikorom Safari Lodge
Ikorom Safari Lodge has an excellent restaurant that is set up to provide quality meals using the freshest of locally available foods prepared in both Ugandan and other international foods. The lodge is built with an open-air dining area equipped with comfortable chairs and tables through which the guests can dine, pre or post-game drives, or even just meal before retiring to bed at night.
Breakfast: Breakfast may comprise fruits, bread and pastries, eggs, Ugandan coffee and tea may be served in the dining area within the lodge with a view of the Nile River.
Lunch and Dinner: The variety of meal includes grilled meat specialties, vegetarian meals and regional dishes. People consume organic food where meals are prepared using foods sourced from around the locals; the food menu is also frequently updated to accommodate the market’s seasonal foods.

Game Drives
Its neighboring park, the Murchison Falls National Park, is endowed with numerous big four among them being elephants, lions, leopards, and buffaloes, as well as Rothschild giraffes. Personally conducted game drives are possible in both the northern and the southern sectors of the park with guides who will assist visitors in identifying and explaining the wildlife. Morning and evening hours are the most effective for spotting as during the night and day animals are tender and cautious.
While on the boat cruise we get to the base of Murchison Falls and on getting there we notice that the area is covered in Mist.
The major and unique activity that guests find interesting at the Ikorom Safari Lodge is boat cruise at the Nile River. From here a cruise is made taking the visitors further upstream with a view on Murchison Falls through which the Nile is forced to pass through a narrow gorge and then cascade 43 meters down into the river. En route, the guests can view the Hippos, crocodiles, elephants and a number of water birds including the African fish eagle and king fisher. The boat cruise gives rather different view of the tour and the opportunities to take beautiful photos are provided.
