5 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park : Our 5 days Uganda is an interesting Uganda safari that starts and end in Kampala. The safari will give you an opportunity to Queen Elizabeth national park which is the second largest national park in Uganda after Murchison falls national park.
During the safari you will be able to see abundant wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, waterbucks, hippos, crocodiles among others which viewed during the game driving and boat cruising at kazinga channel. You will also be able to spend one hour with the endangered chimpanzee in kyambura Gorge also known as the valley of apes.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Depending on your location in Kampala on the first day of the 5 days explore Queen Elizabeth national park, your driver will come and pick you up, brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park in western Uganda. On the way, you will have a route lunch in fort portal where you will continue with the viewing of spectacular views of the beautiful sceneries, Rwenzori Mountains, tea and banana plantations, and crater lakes among others. Upon arriving you will go for an optional evening game drive, where you will be able to view various kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, among others. After the game drive you will be driven to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: morning game drive/ lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast on the second day of the 5days explore queen Elizabeth, your guide will come and pick you, drive for the game drive or lion trekking in kasenyi plans. During the morning game drive you will be able to spot some mammals like buffaloes, elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, giraffes, waterbucks and views of different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise
After lunch you will drive to the landing site near mweya safari lodge which is about 40km along the channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. During the boat trip, which lasts for about 2hours you will be able to view large concentrate of hippos and Nile crocodiles in waters, view buffaloes, elephants, warthogs drinking water along the banks, view water birds like yellow billed stork, hornbills, African skimmers, kingfishers among others. You will also be able to see the fishermen along the shores preparing their fishing gears for night fishing, take beautiful pictures among others. After the boat cruise you will go for evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you missed in the morning and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight while on your Uganda safari
Day 3: chimpanzee tracking and crater lakes
Wake up early for breakfast which will be served at the lodge and head for the briefing point for chimpanzee trekking in kyambura Gorge.
The driver takes you through long stretches of savannah grasslands until you suddenly approach the amazing gorge. The gorge is a home of the chimps and has some certain birds, small primates and other predictable mammals. After the briefing, you will descend into the gorge to begin searching for the primates. After spending time with chimps, you will be taken for lunch and then transferred to lake katwe is one of the leading producers of salt in Uganda. The lake is too salty to support wildlife but is great source of live hood foe communities in the area. The practice of salt mining has been in place since the 16th century with mining skills passed on from generation. The salt is sold to traders from within Uganda and nearby countries of Rwanda and the democratic republic of Congo. After you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full day game driving to Ishasha sector
After breakfast on the 4th days of 5days explore Queen Elizabeth national park, you will meet up with your driver to go for full day game drive in isasha sector is located in the southern part of the park and its known for harboring the famous tree climbing lions which will be viewed during game. The tree climbing lions in isasha sector will be seen lazily lying up in the acacia braches staring at other animals like elephants among others. After the game drive you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: departure to Kampala
On the last day of the 5days explore Queen Elizabeth national park, you have relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver/ guide to transfer back to Kampala. On the way you will have a stopover at igongo cultural center for lunch and then continue the journey with another stopover at the equator where you will buy craft item, art equator you will proceed to Kampala reaching early evening and upon arrival your driver/ guide will drop you off at any place of convenience.
