The 3 days Murchison falls national park located in North of Kampala city in Masindi district, locally known as Kabalega national park, it’s situated at the end of Albertine Rift Valley and it is the Uganda’s oldest and largest safari park. This park can be accessed by road and air transport.
Murchison falls was gazette as a wildlife reserve in 1926 and have over 76 different mammal species and 451 birds. The main attractions in wildlife at Murchison falls include; Buffalo, Giraffe, lions, Jackson’s heartbeat, elephants, hippos, crocodile, bird species, yellow fly catcher, shoebills, woodhouse which are always seen during birdwatching and nature walks.

Day 1: set off from Kampala
You will depart from Kampala or Entebbe and start your journey on Gulu highway, which takes about 5-6 hour drive, you will have a some stop over along your journey, you will stop in luwero market for refreshment and buy some certain fruits like mongoes, to eat along the journey.as soon you reach Masindi you will have another stop, have some lunch, relaxation and continue to the national park. you will arrive with in the park in the late evening continue do hiking to the top of the falls with a lot of experience and unforgettable moments. After their drive to the lodge check for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: game drive & Boat cruise
You will wake up early after your breakfast at your lodge, your driver will come and pick you up for morning game drive which is the best time for viewing a lot of mammals since most of them do hunting in early morning especially cat family. During game drive, animals spotted include; elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffe, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, Jackson heartbeat and elusive leopards.
After your game drive, you will be driven back to the lodge for lunch and have some relaxation as you wait for afternoon boat cruise, during the boat your able to spot the different mammals and different birds species which may include; Nile crocodiles, Hippos, buffaloes, elephants, giffaes which normally come to the Nile for water in the afternoon. The bird species include; shoebill, silver bird, yellow-billed stork, African jacana, great Egrets and many more.
Day 3: chimpanzee tracking & return to Kampala
On the last day of your 3days Murchison falls safari, you will wake every early in the morning have your breakfast and check out of the lodge, drive to the headquarters for briefing about the chimpanzee tracking in the budogo forest, the tracking takes about 1-5 hours according the location of the chimpanzees, your required to travel or move with food since it may take time. After spotting them, your given extra one hour to be with them have some good moments, take pictures, and study them about their behaviors.
